It's time to kick off the year with football, friends and fun activities at The Lubbock Women's Club!

Welcome August! But that certainly doesn't mean cooler temps. As a new school year begins, so does a new board at The Lubbock Women's Club.

While Spring is usually equated with rebirth or renewal, Summer is a time for growth. It is for taking vacations, firing up the grill, relaxing at the pool, or reconnecting with old classmates at your reunion, but most importantly, it is time spent with family and friends.

Unity and togetherness is something we should place a high value on in our Club. As individual members, our light can only get so much done alone. With each of us working on cooperation, we can cultivate our lights into something much more focused. It is our many lights together that can make us shine brightly.

We will gather for a wonderful luncheon and time to honor our current LWC President, Sherry Blankenship, while remembering those who served before and after her.
